Gary Anderson Announces Campaign for
Michigan’s 101st House District

Local Business Owner & Community Leader Pledges Practical, Conservative Leadership
FREMONT, MI — Local business owner and longtime Newaygo County resident Gary Anderson has announced his candidacy for Michigan State Representative in the 101st House District, pledging to bring practical experience, fiscal responsibility, and strong rural values to Lansing.
In 2026, Anderson marks 45 years of marriage to his wife Pam and 25 years as a small business owner in Newaygo County — milestones that coincide with what he describes as a new chapter of service to the community he calls home. He’s running for State Representative to ensure the voices of the 101st District continue to be heard clearly and consistently in Lansing.
“I’m not a career politician,” Anderson said. “I’m a husband, a father, a grandfather, a business owner and a Christian. I’ve spent my life building something here — raising a family, running a company, and investing in this community. I want to make sure the people of this district always have a strong voice at the Capitol.”
In 2001, Anderson founded Great Lakes Allied in Fremont and later moved it to White Cloud in 2007. What began as a family-owned operation has grown into a respected Michigan company serving customers across the state and beyond. He says the lessons he learned running a business shape his approach to public service.
“You can’t spend money you don’t have. You have to listen, before you lead. And results matter more than excuses,” Anderson said. “That’s the mindset I’ll bring to Lansing.”
Anderson’s campaign priorities include restoring local control, protecting property owners and taxpayers, ending corporate welfare programs, and defending rural Michigan’s way of life. He supports keeping property tax caps in place even when homes are sold, requiring local millages to appear on November ballots in even-numbered years when voter participation is highest, and strengthening oversight of state agencies through zero-based budgeting and increased transparency.
“I believe state representatives should be citizen-legislators — grounded in real life and focused on what actually matters here,” he said. “It’s about steady leadership, practical solutions, and making sure rural Michigan continues to have a strong voice in Lansing.”
