On April 27, Board President Hilary Dubay (on behalf of Congressman Paul Mitchell) presented awards to the Michigan Student Film Festival winners, for Best PSA and Best Documentary Film out of over 300 entries in the state. The Best Documentary winners received a $500 award and the Best PSA winners received $250!

Students at the festival receiving awards were Lauren B, Jack B, Angel D, and Shane V. Other students receiving awards, but unable to attend the festival included Noah HP, Alice P, Chris P, Jacob A, and Zach D. Mr. Kaufman also received an award from the congressman for his achievement as 2019 Media Teacher of the Year. #LivingLAnseCreuse
