Leadership Rooted in Family, Work & Community
Gary Anderson isn’t a career politician — he’s a husband, father, grandfather, and local business owner who has spent decades building a life and a livelihood right here in Michigan's 101st District.
In 2026, Gary marks 45 years of marriage to his wife Pam, 25 years as a small business owner in Newaygo County, and a new chapter of service to the community. He’s running for State Representative to continue giving Michigan’s 101st District a strong, practical voice in Lansing — grounded in the values and real-world experience of the community he has long called home.

Putting People First
Not Special Interests
Gary is running as a conservative Republican because he believes that the government should work for citizens, not lobbyists or politically connected corporations. His only special interest is in the people of the 101st District — the families, farmers, workers, and small businesses who keep our communities strong.
As a business owner, Gary knows what it means to balance a budget, cut waste and focus on results. He’ll bring that same common-sense approach to Lansing: asking hard questions, demanding accountability, and making sure your tax dollars are spent wisely.
Focused on What Matters Here
Gary’s priorities are simple:
- Return decision-making to local communities
- Protect property owners and taxpayers
- Stand up for rural Michigan’s way of life
- End corporate welfare and government waste
Gary believes leadership starts by listening. He looks forward to meeting neighbors across the district and representing their voices on the House floor — honestly, transparently, and without the political games.

Local Business Owner and Community Leader Pledges Practical, Conservative Leadership
FREMONT, MI — Local business owner and longtime Newaygo County resident Gary Anderson has announced his candidacy for Michigan State Representative in the 101st House District, pledging to bring practical experience, fiscal responsibility, and solid rural values to Lansing.
In 2026, Anderson marks 45 years of marriage to his wife Pam and 25 years as a small business owner in Newaygo County — milestones that coincide with what he describes as a new chapter of service to the community he calls home. He’s running for State Representative to ensure the voices of the 101st District continue to be heard clearly and consistently in Lansing.
“I’m not a career politician,” Anderson said. “I’m a husband, a father, a grandfather, a business owner and a Christian. I’ve spent my life building something here — raising a family, running a company, and investing in this community. I want to make sure the people of this district always have a strong voice at the Capitol.”
